Library Week 2009 (10 – 16 August) has been running for over 35 years and is a week-long celebration of libraries and librarianship taking place in public, school, tertiary and special libraries all over New Zealand.

This year’s theme “Escape Explore Discover - Ki te whai ao, ki te ao mârama”highlights that libraries enable us to escape into a world of discovery and exploration that will bring about an enriching and positive experience.
