Library Week 2009 (10 16 August) has been running for over 35 years and is a week-long celebration of libraries and librarianship taking place in public, school, tertiary and special libraries all over New Zealand.
This years theme Escape Explore Discover - Ki te whai ao, ki te ao mâramahighlights that libraries enable us to escape into a world of discovery and exploration that will bring about an enriching and positive experience.
Library Week honours the important role libraries play in our communities and bookinopolis will be holding various events to mark the occasion.
