  • Maori Collection (Te Uru Miro) - We now have a collection of Maori resources at each branch library for both children and adults. The material held in this collection includes - Treaty of Waitangi; Te Reo Maori; Tribal histories; Whakapapa information; Mythology; Arts/Crafts; Children's readers; Picture books; Sound Cassettes and much more.
  • Large Print Books - both fiction and non-fiction at all libraries
  • Talking Books - books which have been professionally recorded on cassette tapes, so you can listen to a range of fiction and non-fiction books while you drive, while you exercise & wherever you like. If for any reason you are unable to enjoy the printed word talking books can be borrowed free of charge.
  • DVD's, CD's and Videos
  • Children's Collections - a range of fiction and non-fiction items in a variety of formats suitable for children aged 0 - 12 years.
  • Teen Collections - a range of fiction (including a teen graphics collection) and non-fiction items suitable for 14-18 year-olds.
  • Reference Collections - provide in depth resources that are permanently available i.e. items are not for loan. The collections include dictionaries, atlases and maps, encyclopedias, directories and telephone books, study guides, university calendars, statistics, yearbooks, government publications, legislation, newspapers, vertical file, non-book resources e.g. CD-ROM's, access to databases etc. There is also a broad range of information on specialist topics.
